Post Photography_Documentary Thrive

Interesting counterpoint to the work I have called photography about photography is a second

major direction in art photography today: a continued fascination with subject matter and reality,

exploring how to photograph in ways that challenge photographic cliché and offer new ways of

looking in a documentary style. Increased amount of documentary work are found in the past

decades which gives witness to the increasingly polorized and unstable times, and photography’s

adeptness at reflecting such cultural anxiety and frustration.
